Amie & Christina Lawton – The Wanderlust Twins
Born and raised in Northern California, we majored in the Humanities, specializing in Classical Civilizations. We each acquired two A.A. degrees with Honors and a B.A. degree with Honors. We both enjoy art, history, mythology, nature, adventurous excursions (like skydiving in 2016 or scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef in 2017), and, of course, traveling! Now full-time writers, we’re currently utilizing our refined skills to accomplish our dream of traveling the world indefinitely (see The Endeavor).
It’s common for others to ask us about what it’s like to be a twin. In response, we admit that it’s much like living with your best friend and your worst enemy. Yet, despite its intense nature, it is one of the best things in the world! We both agree that there’s no one else we’d rather have by our side than our twin. This was one of the main reasons why, in our 30th year, we chose to undertake The Endeavor together.
We feel the best way to express our outlook on life is the following quote: “We must live for a concept of a new life – vigorous, healthy & nobly self-sufficient. True happiness is expressed by innocuous & unthinking laughter. It’s a joy that comes from accepting life on its own terms, fearlessly.”
Ultimately, we work hard to play hard. The world holds so much and we want to experience all of it. We want to see, to do, to be. To live, laugh, and love as much as possible because, at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters. Money and material possessions come and go, but friends, family, and experiences are forever! 😀
